Motion Capture Experience
In my second year at NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences, I joined the NHTV MoCap Team as a founding member. As part of this team I was responsible for handling and performing routine maintenance checks on the Motion Capture hardware, as well as organizing and supervising shoots for a number of NHTV student projects. In these shoots we used a suit created by Xsens. At the end of the team's first year, NHTV purchased facial Motion Capture equipment from Faceware Tech. With this, I gained experience for both body motion capture and facial motion capture.

Left: Getting suited up for a MoCap session. I'm in the suit this time. This session was meant to record a walking cycle and a running cycle, each with every possible turn (turn right with left foot first, turn right with right foot first, 180 left, stop from reverse, etc.). After the session, we cleaned up the MoCap data ourselves (each member of the MoCap team) and learn to blend all these different motions together. This was done so we would become familiar with the entire MoCap pipeline from recording to in-engine.

Body Motion Capture Experience
I have worked with the Xsens suit for body motion capture. Hardware-wise, I am familiar with rewiring the suit, equipping the actor with the suit and setting up the recording computer. Software-wise, I am familiar with MVN Studio and I acted as computer operator for a few test shoots within the NHTV MoCap Team. In addition, I've functioned as MoCap Supervisor during six presentations held by the MoCap Team between 2015 and 2017. |
Facial Motion Capture Experience
I have worked with the Faceware ProHD Headcam system in setting it up for shoots. As we did not receive it until well after I joined, my experience with the system is still small. |
